Capitec cannot delete a ****** cellphone number over 18 months

in the beginning of 2024 I suffered a ******** SIM-Swap and informed Capitec to remove this cellphone-number. Nothing happened and I escalated the case to the Ombudsman. Capitec apologized and I considered the case closed. Later on I realized, that the wrong number is still in my record In Feb. 2025 I visited a branch in Stellenbosch to update the personal information including the new cellphone-number. Checking on the internet I saw that the old, wrong number is still on the records. Again I wrote to Capitec. The answer "your old number was suspended, and the new number was updated on the system". These days I checked the personal settings on the internet and?? The old, ****** one is still on the record and Capitec don't answer anymore.. Has anyone an idea what I must do despite changing the bank?

We're now 10 days further along. Unfortunately, we haven't made any progress in resolving this security issue. But we've been working on removing or replacing a phone number from customer records for years. It's probably difficult.
