Capitec cancel Direct Debt

If you try to cancel a direct debt on the Capitec banking app, despite being there and readily available, for other services, this option wont work, it will fail and you. But it wont notify you of the failure. you will find this on youir month end statement. You will have to call customer care, where you are read a script whereby you are - wait for it " You are Welcome", to come into the branch, to make good on their inability to do this remotely. They refuse to cancel this telephonically, making you pay for extra Debts, time and Fuel. When most banks after answering security questions will allow this. FAIL from Capitec.
