Capitec Banking - Slow to no service
I was involved in a ****/*****ulent transaction.
I paid money over from my savings account to the ****mers bank account. I never do immediate transfer so that if it goes South, I can contact the bank and cancel the transaction.
The paperwork did not match what I was being told. Being sceptical, I contacted Capitec to cancel the transaction by contacting their ***** line.
I have sent mails nearly every day. I tried phoning the ***** line. I tried to report to the ombudsman who referred me back to Capitec complaints department.
That brings us neatly to where we are now.
A bank that wants to compete in big service while neglecting the basic service.
Because of their dereliction of duties, a ****mer is now walking around with my money, and Capitec allowed. It to happen.
The message simply says that the “have determined the payment was not *****ulent”.
My 6 (six) years in the audit industry has allowed me to be an expert on the matter of *****.
The attachment sent to Capitec, being the entire chat history between a seller of goods claiming to be from Orania.
He had a pre-populated waybill indicating on it that the city the parcel, being 15kg’s (1.*****)(I was buying a fishing reel), was being sent from was unknown (2. *****). The code of the city was Centurion, and not Orania (3.*****).
Payment was received but no goods dispatched with intention to de-***** (4.*****).
Capitec did not disclose procedures and tests to determine whether ***** or error did occur, and it is a slap in the face of the consumer and client of a registered financial institution that places the interest of *****sters above their clients, especially when they were informed of the *****ulent transaction within 10 minutes of the payment being made.
They dragged their feet and were rather disinterested with my mails, until I posted on Hello Peter.
But Jacques - How do you know it’s *****? I still have not received my package (6.*****).
Capitec, if you need an employee with experience in ***** detection, you have my e-mail address. But then again, I might have to post on here again.

After all of this, and my posts on Hello Peter (seems this is the quickest way to get in touch with Capitec), I had a phone call stating that they are still busy with my case; and will update me.
I promissed to refer this matter to the Bank Ombudsman, but since I have decided to include the Better Business Bereau, as well as a little add in several papers advertising my services to take on unscrupilouse business practices by banks, in particular Capitec, regarding their ***** policies.
I would like to remind the public at large, that the law on prescription ends after 3 (three) years. If you have any documentation that you submitted to the banks in a timely fashion (typically within 24 hours) indicating that you have been the victim of *****, I could like to hear from you.
Over 6 (six) years in ***** detection at audit firms.
Answer to this post, and we can discuss how we can keep these big Corporations to account.

Your reply was to take the receiving party to the small claims court. A *****ster, a *****, a marauder... I must go and find this person in Centurion or Orania, or other place that he maybe operating from. Your legal advise is to institute a small claims court case against Dewalt. No surname. No address for the Sherrif to issue summons.
Your position is "Oh well, you can go to the Bank Ombudsman."
Well thank you for your kind permission. I hope your documents and investigation notes are better prepared than you are to assist a client during a *****ulant transaction.
This leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
