Capitec Bank trying to kill my son
My son has an account with Capitec, that we opened together. He recently turned 17 and does not have an ID yet. It has been a bit difficult, because he does not live with me and then there is also that whole thing that started last year and is still happening now. Maybe you've heard of it? Sometimes referred to as "lockdown", albeit in different stages at different times. For some reason it's very difficult to get an ID right now. Not sure why, but the FNB branch where we're supposed to go, is not currently able to handle ID applications. Oh, must be that lockdown thing. So Capitec, in their "all knowing wisdom" decides to stop my son's account. They're also in a major rush do this, as they sent an SMS on the 14th of Jan (yesterday) stating that the account was closed on the 15th of Jan (today). They closed it on the 14th of Jan already. Must be a different time zone down in Cape Town. Normally Slaapstad is behind the times, but not when they want to close accounts. Now the BIG problem comes in that the account they closed so flippantly, is the same account that I send money to, for my son to be able to buy food. You know, the stuff people need to keep on living. If living was a priority to you. I know it is for most people... I'm almost certain that Capitec Bank cutting off the means for my son to keep on staying alive, would constitute attempted ******. Yes, I'm pretty sure I should go and lay a charge of attempted ****** against Capitec Bank. Well, I suppose against the idiot that thought it a good idea to close my son's account because he has not been able to get an ID. "Sentenced to death because he did not have an ID". Come on, open his account, so that I can send him money to buy food. Don't be "those people". You know, those **** of the earth type people.
