CAPITEC BANK SS LEGAL INDISPUTABLE DEBIT ORDER

After receiving my weekly salary on Friday, 28 August 2020, I noticed that my money was short. I spoke to a colleague on Monday, 31 August 2020 who advised that I must get a 3 months bank statement which I did the same day. After looking through my bank statement, I noticed that there were three occasions where a debit order had gone off for R5.00, R175.00 and R175.00 again. I have never had a debit order so I was confused as to where this debit order came from and how this company acquired my details as I have never heard of this company, have never given this company authorization to debit my account and I never give out my bank details. My colleague did some research and found that there were two separate complaints lodged against Capitec Bank on Hellopeter with the identical ********** company and debit order. The cases were identical (company identical, debit order amount identical and best part Capitec's refusal to cancel the debit order IDENTICAL!). The company SS Legal Cover does not exist! There contact details do not exist! I then went into the Capitec branch on Tuesday, 1 September 2020 and was met by a rude gentleman who stated that it was my fault that this had happened to me as I had probably given my bank account details to the people who sell insurances on the side of the road. I told the man that I had never given out my bank details and that this was in fact a new card. He stated that there was nothing he can do and that I must go search for the people outside. I then contacted the Capitec call centre (ref for call: ***9) and was told that there is nothing they can do and that I must contact the company and they will cancel it. The lady provided me with a number of the company and guess what? THE NUMBER DOES NOT EXIST!!! Its either Capitec Bank is protecting this ********** company or Capitec Bank just doesn't care about its clients. Capitec Bank I ask that you cancel this debit order and refund the money that has been **********ly deducted from my bank account.
