Capitec Bank refuse to help phishing victims!

On 27 May 2016 I was a victim of phishing. After receiving the mail, I tried logging onto my internet banking and it said session locked. I then phoned the Capitec call centre and spoke to Zandile who was very rude and abrupt. She told me that I had been a victim of phishing, She said that I had to open a case at the police station. The incident number for this case was ********** 7. I then went to Capitec Meadowdale hoping they could help me. There, the manager Samantha, was just as unhelpful. She also said that I had to open a case but refrained from telling me that I needed a bank statement to do so. I left work and went to the Actonville police station. There I was asked for my bank statement. I had to then go to the Lakeside Mall Capitec for my bank statement. When I went to the Harpur Avenue police station after that, I was told that the police cannot help me as the bank knows that they need the scene of the crime to open a case. They refused blank to listen to anything I had to say. The next day I went back to Samantha at Capitec Meadowdale and told her that the police refused to open a case because they need the scene of the crime. She said but they know they have to subpoena us for that persons details as we cant give a 3rd partys details to you (nevermind the fact that the 3rd party stole R7100 from me). That afternoon I went back to the Actonville Police station where a drunk police man had taken one look at the Bank statement and said that I had to go the Harpur Avenue police station because I got the bank statement in Benoni Town. I then went back to Harpur avenue where I was once again told about the scene of the crime. After raising my voice out of frustation, one of the other officers asked what had happened and when I explained to him he said that the scene of the crime is the internet. I phoned Capitec the Monday morning with the case number. After numerous calls to Capitec for feedback, I received an sms that my case has been referred to Candice Dawson. On 7 June, I received a call from Sugeibah who apologised for my unfortunate incident and also told me that the account to which my money was transferred was traced and blocked but unfortunately there was no money left to salvage so they are unable to refund me. I contacted the ombudsman and was told by them to lodge a formal complaint with the Bank and give them 20 working days to try to solve it. I sent the complaint on the 9 June 2016. On 24 June, I went to the bank to unblock my mobilee and internet banking. The system did not allow the consultant to unlock my mobile banking so they phoned complaint management where they were told that my case had been finalised and my mobile banking could be unlocked. They sent the letter to the consultant at Capitec who gave me a copy. The letter which was from Miss Candice Dawson, stated that they emphatise with the terrible experience I had in learning of the missing funds. There was alot more said and then basically that they will not be refunding me. Incident number for this case was ********** 1CM. It is obvious from the letter being drawn 1 day after I sent my complaint to them that they did not give a **** about what had happened to me but worse than this was the fact that I only received a letter drawn by Capitec Complaint Management on 10 June 2016, on the 24 June ( two weeks later) only after a consultant called them for feedback. Capitec are absolutely unprofessional as far as I am concerned. This whole incident has caused me more stress than I can even explain. All I want is my R7100 that has been ****** from me.
