Capitec bank reduce interest

I am currently one of many people that have been retrenched. I have tried contacting the Capitec bank asking for their assistance with my personal loan settlement figure and with the insurance that could cover the premiums till I found a job. My question to Capitec Bank is that while they say I am liable for the loan, if my severance package is not enough to settle my account is it possible to have the interest reduced or use the insurance premium However I have received no assistance from Capitec Bank. Not sure what would happen should I not find employment. It's not that I am not willing to settle the account I am just looking for help with assistance in reducing abit of the interest.
