Capitec Bank - Once your loans are handed over they will "NEVER" give you credit again even if your loans are paid up

Good Day Capitec,

Just before lockdown I enquired why after 2 years Capitec was still referring to my ITC record of 2018. I had 3 loans with Capitec and I went into financial difficulties and my loans was handed over to Koegelenberg Attorneys. I settled the loans in Oct 2018.I received my settlement letters and forwarded it to the legal department of Capitec. Is the below comment the norm and standards of all banking institutions not to do business with clients that was handed over? I am very disappointed and even though i stayed with capitec after the below reply i am strongly considering now to rather go an open another account and build new financial relationship with another bank.

Please be advised that if your loan was handed over to the lawyers, your status at Capitec bank will always reflect as handed over status.

Unfortunately we do not offer credit to previously handed over clients even if the loan is paid up this is Capitec bank’s policy.
