Capitec Bank Loan

Good day I went to Capitec Bank for a loan. The consultant uploaded my details as a pensioner receiving monthly payment R8066, the loan was approved. Proof of monthly pension payment was requested, this document was handed to consultant. Consultant then confirmed this document with loan department. The loan department then requested proof of investment amount to receive monthly pension payment R8066. This document was handed over to consultant and consultant confirmed with loan department. Loan department declined loan as the amount that I had in my investment was not two million Rands. After waiting two hours. My question, do you really need two million Rands invested to apply for an R4000.00 loan? The amount I had invested for my monthly pension payment for the next 5 years R500000.00
