Capitec Bank is Joke

I send a cash voucher on the Capitec app by mistake and I immediately phone the Capitec 24 hour helpline to try and reverse the transaction. The consultant I spoke to told me not to worry as the money was safe and I can withdraw it anytime from any Capitec ATM or partner retail.

After one day I went to Shoprite to withdraw the money only to be told by the cashier that the money was withdrawn the day before at an ATM. I was shocked.

1. Capitec promised that they will investigate and revert back to me. 2. Capitec declined my dispute because they say the money was dispensed at the ATM. 3. How do you investigate a complain and conclude without even contacting the complainant to hear their side of the story. 4. I wanted to listen to the audio recording of my call but I was never given the opportunity.
