Capitec bank implict in online ****

I have a debit oreder of R199 which I wanted to remove from my account. I used the Capitec Bank app to get the contact details of the service provider: Dealdirect telephone number +*** Email address ***. These proved not to be working. I thne contacted Capitec bank and they requested proof that I had tried to contact the service provider which I provided. They then requested I go to the police station to open a case. The police said if Capitec bank have the contact details they need to try those contacts and not expect the police to open a case as it is a waste of their resources if teh contact details are not working. Capitec bank need to stop enforcing debit orders before they verify contact details.

I truly understand your frustration ❤️ I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. It is important to clarify that debit orders are not enforced by the bank, they are an agreement between you and the billing company. However, since you say you do not have an agreement with this company and you suspect this debit order is **********, we need to treat it as a ********** debit order. In this specific situation: The company would need to account for how they got your details and why they are debiting your account. If you are not winning with the company directly, the next step is to visit the branch immediately to formally log the ********** debit order. Please note that the process for an unauthorized debit order does include opening a case with the police. The police do not have the right to turn you back, and they must assist you in opening a case so we can proceed with the reversal investigation.

Dear Capitec Bank,

You have no right to close my review before you have refunded me my money. Contrary to your email which has incorrect information. Please see the email from you: Good day Reginald, Thank you for your email. We do regret learning of the difficulty you have experienced. If it's a *****ulent debit order, please open a case at the police station and take the case number to the branch to begin an investigationPlease note that Debi check debit orders cannot be cancelled by the bank. You would need to contact the institute the debit order was created with to dispute the debit order. To cancel a debit order, you would need to contact the third party and confirm with them that the cancelation was successful. Please note that if a debit order is reported to be *****ulent, you would need to dispute with the initiator/creditor and provide evidence of the dispute. Once evidence is obtained, this should be presented at your nearest Capitec Bank branch. To lessen the risk for our clients, debit orders that are older than 40 days and amount to more than R 800.00, would need to be disputed at a Capitec Bank branch. You may dispute a Naedo debit order:
  • Capitec Bank app
  • Any Capitec Bank branch
Steps to follow on the app when disputing the Naedo debit order:
  • Choose Transact
  • Choose Debit Orders
  • Enter your secret Remote PIN to sign in
  • Choose the debit order from the history menu
  • Choose the reason for the dispute
  • Accept the agreement
A fee of R5.00 will apply when disputing the debit order via the App.Should you require any further assistance on our end, you may send us a new email at *** Alternatively, you may add and save the Capitec WhatsApp number ***) as a contact on your phone or visit any of your nearest Capitec Bank branches. https://www.capitecbank.co.za/branch-locator We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this. Thank you for allowing us to attend to your enquiry. Kind regards Anela Mntalo

The reason I say you are complicit in a **** is that your banking app refuses to dispute teh debit order. You loaded uncontactable detials on your app and now you have given me the run around including here on Hellopeter. I had been warned that Capitec bank is known for aiding and abbetting ****s and here is the proof.
