Capitec Bank Frozen Account

I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the bank's service and turnaround times.

Funds were deposited into my account on June 25th, 2021, but I was unable to access them. I went into the Columbine Branch in the South of Johannesburg on June 27th, 2021. A bank teller informed me that my account had been frozen due to numerous deposits and transfers that were deemed "**********." I explained to the consultant that this was due to the consultant work I do and provided them with the document, which was a letter from the company for which I was consulting.

This teller assured me that the matter would be investigated and resolved within seven business days. I followed up with the same branch on this matter post the 7 working days, but it had not been resolved.

I decided to contact the online banking team to resolve this issue; however, despite letters from the company and my follow-ups, this bank has not prioritized my concerns, which is completely unprofessional and uncouth. I have not received any assistance or a solution for an issue that was supposed to take 7 days to resolve after being referred to more than three staff members.

I cannot express how devastating this process has been for my livelihood, and as soon as I have access to my funds, I will have nothing to do with Capitec because their clients and service to them are unprofessional and inefficient.

It is July 28th, 2021, and I still do not have access to my funds, nor do I have any services other than truckloads of empty promises.
