Capitec Bank ***** Department don't do anything to assist loyal Capitec clients

Complaint regarding Capitec Bank ***** Department's handling of unauthorized transactions I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the service I received from the Capitec Bank ***** Department. Despite the bank's adverti*****ts emphasizing their commitment to protecting customers from *****, my recent experience has been appalling. On 25 January 2025 my debit card was taken by an ATM, and shortly thereafter, unauthorized transactions started appearing on my account. My family immediately contacted the bank as I was in ICU and we managed to stop the card. However, when we contacted the ***** Department on 14 February 2025 we were shocked to be told that they couldn't do anything to assist us. As a customer, I expect Capitec Bank to take responsibility for keeping my money safe. It is unacceptable that despite the bank's claims of being proactive in preventing *****, they seem to be unwilling to take action when it actually matters. They made contact within a day but up to today I did not receive any feedback from Capitec Bank

*Warning: Capitec Bank's Empty Promises to Customers*

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to share my appalling experience with Capitec Bank's ***** Department. Despite their adverti*****ts claiming to prioritize customer security, my encounter reveals a disturbing truth.

In January, I fell victim to a card skimming incident at an ATM. My card was taken, and within minutes, large unauthorized transactions were made from my account. What's worse, I was lying in the ICU at the time, unable to take immediate action.

Fortunately, my mother and girlfriend were present and quickly notified the bank, stopping further transactions. However, when I reported the incident to Capitec's ***** Department, I was met with a shocking response.

After conducting an "investigation," Capitec denied my claim, citing that I had breached their contract by sharing my PIN code with my mother. Yes, you read that correctly - I was penalized for trusting my own flesh and blood with my PIN code in case of an emergency.

This experience has left me disillusioned with Capitec's false promises of prioritizing customer security. Their adverti*****ts boast of proactive measures to prevent *****, but when it happens, they shift the blame to the customer.

I urge everyone to be cautious when dealing with Capitec Bank. Their words are empty, and their actions will leave you vulnerable and unprotected.

Share your own experiences and beware of Capitec's false promises.

Sincerely
