Capitec Bank credit card
I app**** at the Preller square branch of Capitec Bank for a credit card. As I receive monthly an income as pension from an annuity my application was rejected as I need to have a balance of more than R2 mil in the annuity. This is totally unacceptable.

12 Dec 2021, 11:17A consultant of Capitec eventually contact me and told me the most ridiculous story that I have heard for a long time. If one earned a income of R13,000 per month from a annuity which is administered by a financial institution and was transferred by your former employer upon retirement from your pension fund in an annuity you need to have a balance of R2 mil to qualify for a credit card from Capitec but if you receive a salary of R5,000 montly you do qualify for a credit card.
