Capitec Bank Complaint

I must express my utmost disappointment for the Capitec staff at New Market Mall for their lack of empathy and professionalism. My sister used one of the Capitec ATMs yesterday around 16:30 to withdraw cash, and the ATM had a technical glitch and retained her card. This ATM is stationed at the branch and the staff member, including the Manager said there’s nothing they can do. Even if they take out the cards, they throw it away. My sister had pleaded with them and advised that she’s supposed to buy food and doesn’t have money to return home, but they still refused to assist and didn’t even explain the reason why they cannot assist in getting her card back.

Given the fact that there is no valid explanation as to why they cannot return the card, her suspicion remains that the card will be misused for *****ulent activities and will proceed to open a case at the police station.
