I had the pleasure of opening a Capitec Savings account recently at the Blauw Village branch in Pretoria North. My experience that day showed me that even though these are tuff times both businesses and individuals are compationate and caring. While standing in the que an elderly lady got very tired and said she was having difficulty standing, I went and asked the manager who was standing outside if the lady could please helped before me. The manager kindly rep**** that there was a seating space for the elderly and disabled in the front of the bank. They allowed the lady in and there she was seated until it was her turn to be helped. With the sign in process and the managers watchful eye at the door all was done in a safe, fair and timely manner. When I entered I was pleased to see the social distancing rule was followed strictly, as only the person doing thier banking was allowed in and every second chair was crossed off allowing for proper space between each of us. My number was called and I was helped by a very friendly, professional lady. She had her own finger print machine and each time I used the other machine allocated for the customer on the desk she sanitized it. She then explained every detail and all the benefits of the account. After signing the paper work I was welcomed by her to the Capitec family. Not even 15 minutes later I received my first verification email. It was a heart warming experience for me to see the compassion and dedication to both the customer and staff while keeping all the safety rules.
