Capitec Bank

On the 25/08/21 I couldn't access my bank account,on going to the branch Campus Square Gauteng, all the consultant explained to me was my account was frozen due to a court order, surely court orders are for different kind of loans not paid. The branch manager didn't bother to come and show face or to call me for a proper explaination. The account was frozen on the 23/08/21 With no call , WhatsApp nothing just to prepare me for what has taken place, from Capitec. I mean my livelihood, I've logged a formal complaint to the Law Society, Treasury and some regulator. I have used my daughter's email address via her laptop because with my Gmail it was not possible to complain to the relevant departments. I mean if all this can happen to me what about the public out there that's ******** about where and whom to complain too. The only time I received a call from Capitec was on the 27/09/21 between 4:30 and 5:00 by a gentleman, I couldn't get his name or why he phoned as my phone and hearing him was faulty,my thinking is it happened after Treasury instructed the Ombudsman to look into the matter. Because I've received a mail from the Ombudsman to ask me if I want to logg a formal complain. Which of cause I rep**** yes, I want to. Maybe he also couldn't hear me when I asked him to email whatever he wanted to say to me via my daughter's email address for a paper trail,he even recited it to me for confirmation,to date I have not received an email from him, I do have his land line number, just in case,as we all know calls are recorded. And the money I had in the account disappeared, only this months deposit is still in the account, but obviously I cannot withdraw the funds because my account is frozen..... strange that a frozen account can be used for deposits. And too....if you have to pay your debt what happened to affordability?? As we speak I'm still waiting on the guy that called me from Capitec.

Why did Capitec not advised me via my daughter's email address,it would've solved the problem,I was going to be aware that it is with the Ombudsman, why on earth did I have you use the platform of Hellopeter to get a response from Capitec Bank, the same guy who called me on the 27/ 08/21 should've been the one to advise me via email as I have requested. Capitec Bank, I was very impressed with your services, and even ask a few of my friends to change their bank accounts to Capitec Bank I did marketing on your behalf,as my family also bank with you guys. I am not saying that Capitec Bank should've made the problem to go away,as a borrower I know that I should've been responsible for paying my debt, at times life happens, 80% of SA is/are going thru uphill, but the way Capitec Bank went about it, you're left your client in a very precarious/ dark position,no professional skills were app**** whatsoever, let my experience be a lesson to Capitec Bank and treat your clients with some dignity, whether your account is in zero or whether you are a multimillionaire. If one earns a meager income,it matters to the client even if it doesn't matter to Capitec Bank.Years ago I also worked in a bank, but that was then, and we have learned a client comes first irrespective. What's your procedures if something like this happens, surely I am not the first and will not be the last, because your clients are only a WhatsApp away if Capitec Bank feels they don't need to call the clients about a frozen account. Don't leave them on payday to find out about the account when their on they way to provide food on the table.
