CAPITEC BANK ALLOWS *****ULENT TRANSACTION ON CREDIT CARD WITHOUT LIFTING A FINGER TO STOP THE TRANSACTIONS

25/04/2024 a deduction of R298 on my credit card for someone of the name "Canva" When a draw a statement,I saw that since February 2024 Canva is taking money from my credit card. and it is a recurring payment.

My problem is - my credit card info is no where to be found. I do not use my credit card for any online purchases, nor do I swipe my credit card. Online purchases is being done on my spouse's account via her virtual card. But nor my debit or credit card is being used for any online purchase.

Yesterday, 2 nd May, I went to Capitec Bank in Vaal Mall Vanderbijlpark, with to hope to get this *****ulent transaction stopped on my credit card. What a nasty surprise! Capitec's agent at desk 9 told me that I did use my credit for online shopping. The more I tried to explain to him that I didn't, the more he told me I did and he can not reverse the money. And his solution to me to stop the recurring payment is to set my daily credit card balance to zero.

Capitec Bank, is this how you solve *****ULENT transaction? In other words, *****sters can take money from your account as they please and you must just set your limit to zero?

I'm very disappointed in Capitec. I did Canva via email and they denied that the payment info is not from their company. Capitec agent also told me to log into my Canva account and cancel it on the transcription. How can I log into an account at Canva that I don't have?? And this is not even the real Canva????

I am a pensioner and for sure I can not afford to give away money and deal with a bank who have ZERO interest in protecting my card.
