Capitec Bank **************

I am extremely disappointed with Capitec Bank's discriminatory practices towards foreign nationals. Unlike every other bank in South Africa, which has systems in place to validate the legitimacy of work visas, Capitec imposes absurd and unjust requirements. When I tried to open a bank account, they told me I would need a written letter from the Minister of Home Affairs himself to validate my residency. This is completely unreasonable and discriminatory. Capitec needs to update their policies to be inclusive and fair to all residents of the Republic. Until then, I strongly advise against banking with Capitec if you are a foreign national.
