Capitec and DMC
Good day I want to say that Capitec Bank is the biggest *******ion bank there is in South Africa they must close this bank down. My husband had a personal loan with them around 2018 my husband then lost his work at that time and when the money came in from his retrenchment package Capitec took all the money and then last year my husband found out that he still needs to pay them R11000 which that is the amount that they took when he got his retrenchment money. Capitec handed him over to DMC - *** Sikhunjulwe Gladness Luvuno Digital Collections Consultant +***4 www.evolution.za.com. We made arrangements with DMC to start settling the money and on the 2/6/2025 he got retrenched again but we made the payment of R3200 o the 4/6/2025 hoping that he will have a work by the end of the month. He only started working again on the 28/12/2025. Today the 22/01/2026 we got a phone call from DMC to say that they will help us with a payment arrangement and when I emailed DMC this morning they came back to say that we still owe them R11000 and when i asked about the R3200 we paid they said we lost it and we have to start the repayment all over again. This is *******ion and they are *****ing for how can you do a repayment on an account and then just lose your repayment and have to start all over again. DMC and Capitec cant give us statements for this account that they say is outstanding

Thank you for reaching out and for providing the details of your concern. I understand how frustrating and distressing this situation must be for you and your husband, especially given the circumstances around his retrenchment and the payments made.
Please allow me some time to review the information you’ve shared, including the payment made on 4 June 2025 and the outstanding balance reflected by DMC.
Have you contacted the attorneys to which your husband's account has been handed over to because they need to assist in making the arrangements and tracking the payments

22 Jan 2026, 14:41Good day yes DMC did come back to me with a statement from them I have asked on occasions a statement from Capitec Bank for according to my husband when he was retrenched you deducted the money from his account so the account was paid up and then you still handed him over for the full amount of what the loan was for. He did go to the Capitec Branch in President Hyper in Krugersdorp to request a statement. They said to him that he needs to open an account with them before they will assist him. Then they will still not give him any information on the outstanding account. We still don't have a full statement on the account
