I asked Capitec to close my account last year and give me my funds, but they ****** only suspended my account, and are still withholding my funds, 8 months later!. Even worse someone overpaid me several years ago, but Capitec neither refunded the money, nor put it in my account but in a suspense account earning interest for themselves all these years. Vipers? They failed to correct this or even inform me by telephone or email, And I only became aware of this when I asked them to close my account. The Banking Ombudsman must investigate just how much money is in the suspense amount because it seems that Capitec is either waiting for clients to die or the amount to become prescribed so they can get their mittens on the ill gotten gains .

And The reason I told them to close my account was their gross inefficiency: They informed me separately that my card was expiring and that I needed to update my fica records. I duly went into the branch with my proof of residence. They gave me a new card but failed to update my details. I deposited R17000 into my account as I was going overseas and was told I would pay no transaction fees if I used their card. (But I wouldn't trust those ****** anymore). I duly went overseas only to find that they had frozen my account and I could not access MY funds. Spoiled Mt whole holiday! I even emailed them many times begging them to unfreeze my account for just a month as I would bring in the relevant documents again when I returned to South Africa, but they refused to give me MY money. The person who responded was totally useless. The supervisor was even worse, with no intelligence, initiative or application. Remember this was not a loan or credit card BUT MY OWN MONEY that they refused to let me access AND ARE STILL REFUSING.

I want the ombudsman to similarly freeze their banking licence for the same period so that management would have time to better train their staff or at least hire staff with a bit of acumen and initiative.

The owners of Capitec are in the Stellar company of most of our Parliament: inasmuch as they are *******. Their millions are not enough. Nothing will ever fill their stomachs. Only the earth of their graves. The reason they are rich is because they do not uplift the poor but keep them underfoot; hiring mimimum wage workers and over-working them.

Mr Michiel Le Roux, give me back MY money, that you've been *****ing for 8 months, if not more
