Capitec allowed a 99.99debit **** on my account and benefited through fees
On the 17th of February, there was an unauthorised debit order by a company called Sesha which went of on my Capitec account. The amount was 99.99rands. What is shocking is that this sesha thing is a well known 99.99 **** and yet Capitec allows it. I tried to reverse it by going to the banking app and to shock this particular debit was missing on my debit orders. I called the call centre who told me to try in the morning as their app in on sleep mode. But why allow debit orders when you are on sleep mode? I even checked the details of the debit and discovered that Capitec had benefited through a 3rand something fee, which explains the reluctance of banks, Capitec included, to act against these 99rand ****s. They are making money out of them through fees. This is Capitalist greed. Its time banks, Capitec included starts working for us, and not for shareholders. If this nonsense continues, I will change my bank and move to FNB. I expect Capitec never to allow this sesha thing on my account again. I have done my research and discovered I am not the first to complain so why is Capitec not blacklistingSES this Sesha thing? The debit had this reference SESHASE**** ********** 190218NAEDODR 1460.
