Capitec account used for ********** activity

I was a victim of ********** activity. I phoned Capitec to report it they informed me in order to help they need a Case number.

I went to the police on the 8th and received the case number on the 13th. I immediately went to Capitec so they can open a case of fruad.

Today 28th I still have not received feedback. I went to the branch and the informed me that they many is withdrawn and they will not be taking any further actions.

When I asked if they will assist SAPS if they phone as the currently have no working contact details of suspect. They friendly informed me they will not.

Looks like anyone looking to do ***** and sell items without delivery is welcome at Capitec.

This is my opinion, after I attempted to report ***** on a Capitec account.

I do not feel safe to transact through Capitec.

My previous experience with a similar situation but on FNB account was resolved in a much better way.
