Bullying tactics don't work on all of us

I think Capitec is used to people being desperate when they apply for Personal loans. I app**** for one today to do some renovations. I have been putting it off for a while and finally thought I should just get it over with. I contacted them and after three days they phoned back. I asked for a loan over four years. Then I receive an email with a quote from Lincoln. 27.2%. Now usually I would not be upset, but I have an excellent credit score. And they give loans between 16 and 28%. So why would mine be at the high end? According to Lincoln it is because I have a home loan with Standard bank (I will not even mention the amount, because it is less than my car loan) and also because I do not have revolving accounts and credit cards. My score is 943 but Capitec feels I am a high risk? I earn a great salary, but Capitec see mee as a risk? I have a Phd and work for one of the biggest universities in the country and I have a managment post, but Capitec sees me as a high risk? Really Capitec? I cancelled my application. But I believe that the bullying tactics that were employed by Lincoln to get me to accept this high offer was not called for. He told me that if I apply anywhere else or shop around I must realise that I will get less from Capitec tomorrow. Just because of credit scores. So, I am not desperate enough. I was in the process of moving my accounts to Capitec, will now revert.

Capitec, some of us arent desperate enough to be bul**** into accepting a loan at the highest interest rate. Some of us just actually want to do things, because we can actually afford to pay back loans.

I am very dissapointed, I have told so many people how great the bank is. and now i have to go back to them and told them that Capitec is a bully, just in it to make the maximum amount of profit.

Thank you Capitec, I must have been extremely important to Capitec. It is the 3rd of September, about 4 days after I posted this review. You say at the top, immediate attention will be given within 3 days. First of all, immediate attention is not given in 3 days. Immediate attention is given immediate attention. That is why the word immediate is used. Please do not use immediate when you say it will take three days. But no, it has now been four days. NOTHING. NOT a call, not a "go to hell" message, at the moment it kinda showed exactly what I was saying at the top.
Capitec, you lost your edge, you are now just going down a slope of making money as quickly as possible and not caring about customers. It is sad to say that you have lost someone who were always telling people how great you were. NO not even because you see me as a credit risk while another bank gave me an incredible low interest rate, because of my great credit rating, or even because you said that you tried to bully me into taking the bad loan option. NO you have lost me because you were not even able to keep to the promise you made in the reply to my review.
It is a sad day. Let me just warn future customers, if you want a personal loan. Go to Nedbank or Standard bank. If you are desperate and need money, Go to Nedbank or any of the other banks. Just STAY AWAY FROM CAPITEC. The rates they will charge you will NOT be in line with your credit rating. It will be in line with making money. I now realise it, because they tried to take advantage of me, but because I was not desperate enough, they were not able to take advantage of me as they usually do of their customers.
SAD, SAD SAD day. Capitec, you have dissapointed me, but you will not care... you will just ***** someone else to make up for the loss of my small loan.
