Blocking online purchases on Capitec's Master/Debit Card

Hi... I often make purchases online, especially with websites such as https://market.envato.com/

After a few successful purchases my card suddenly stopped working. First I went in person physically to a branch who then told me 'sorry sir we cannot help' and could only assist in telling me i need to dial the number located on the back of my GlobalOne card - ********** . What came out of this conversation was that it wasn't Capitec's problem, but the website from where I'm purchasing. I told the person on the phone that I can make purchases when I use a completely different bank and again asked why was it working in the beginning and not anymore. Nothing came of this conversation but further sending me down the rabbit hole. So I email the website and they come back with tons of explanations, the last point being that 'your bank could have put us on a block list'

After all this time I left it and continued using a different card, which I use via a family member who I then need to reimburse everytime I make a purchase. It's been awhile since I have had need of purchasing online via the above listed website but again a need has arisen and I cannot make use of my GlobalOne card. Again I call the number on the back of the card to figure out what exactly is the reason why.

Not long and I discover that I'm not the only person complaining about the fact that Capitec is the reason I cannot purchase from the site. You are blocking the card from making reoccuring payments online which is really backwards. There is already a daily credit limit to protect against ***** so why the block?

Reoccuring payments take place every single day and is a way of life. Why would you block a website after a few purchases and claim it's for 'security'?

Stop blocking the above website and stop blocking in period. I also asked what card can I obtain that will allow me to make purchases unhindered to which the reply was 'we don't have such a card'

Please Capitec, I know you guys are good, but in this area you need to come right fast.

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication - Leonardo De Capitec...

As always, looking forward

Jay

After speaking with the complaints department the only resolution offered was to use a third party merchant such as paypal or skrillex... all because Capitec in their TOU or Terms or Service or Business Agreement whatever you wanna call it, 'don't allow for reoccuring payments' on the Global One card...

Maybe one day this will change, a whole new dimension of simplicity - who knows.
