<p>I have an account with positive balance that I have not used in a while. I need a statement from this account to use it for my homeloan payments. Being a busy guy it annoys me that I need to go to a branch everytime I get a new phone, which is about every 6 months.</p> <p>Now being busy I phoned the hotline and asked what is needed to activate my app, spesifically asking if i needed to bring my ID as it has been washed and now I only have a passport untill I get a new ID. I was told that since they had my picture and my finger prints I did not need to bring an ID. Imagine my frustration when I was told at the branch that I needed to bring an ID or Passport and proof of residence. Putting aside my vsaluable time wasted, imagine the utter frustration after returning to a branch a second time with my proof of residence and my valid SA Passport and having been told that my fingerprints, passport and photo is not enough as they need my ID book. Capitec has now wasted my time twice. </p>
