BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE - AYANDA

On Sunday afternoon 08/10/2017 around 12:30 I accompanied my sister-in-law to open up a new banking account which she needed in order to book a place for a potential new job she was due to start this morning 09/10/2017, the bank account was a compulsory requirement in order for her to start the job Today. Upon arrival we were greeted & welcomed by a gentleman by the name of Les who was very welcoming and professional, he assisted us in every way possible and advised that he would refer us to a consultant who would assist us with opening a new bank account assuming that was not within his job description.

The problem started when Les referred us to a consultant by the name of Ayanda, this lady was not helpful at all and was in such a rush to get home that she rejected our application for the mere fact that the copy of the proof of residence we had was missing the street name. I understand that we did not bring along my wife's identity document as she was the supposed to sign on my sister in laws behalf as proof that she resides with but Les was patient enough with us to browse through our emails and check if we had any emails with the ID copy attachment somewhere, this took a while but Les keep telling us to take our time and be not rush. Ayanda on the other hand was so impatient with us and was not even willing to come up with suggestion in order to resolve the issue regarding the omitted street name on the proof of residence. Every suggestion we came up with she crashed and promised that there was no way possible that the copy would be accepted all because she could not wait to log-off her system and knock-off for the day. Yes, it was 13:00 close off time but we were already inside the branch.

What I find funny is that this morning my sister in law went to open the account at different banking institution and the same copy which Ayanda refused to accept was accepted without any hassles. Now my sister in in is sitting with a problem and risks not getting this job as she could not make it Today all because of laziness & unwillingness to assist what would have been a new client for Capitec Bank.

Les should probably be the one occupying Ayanda's seat.
