Bad customer service
I got ****med 1 March 2024 and contacted my bank immediately after finding out, I received help and opened a case with the police. Capitec told me I needed to respond to them with 5 days with a case number and affidavit to which I did. I have not received any feedback stating my documents were received and the next steps. I called twice to try and get help if they received my documents. First call my airtime ended while I was placed on a hold and no one called me back and there was still no update. The second call is the one that has aggravated me I spoke to client care who transferred me to ***** and in the ***** team Tanya incident number *** wanted to transfer me back to client care after explaining to her that I’m from the department she wants to transfer me back to she carried on telling me she cannot assist me only that department could assist me. My question is why isn’t ***** treated with urgency? Why is my bank not protecting me and assuring me? And why is there no one who knows who is supposed to help me when I do a follow up.
Thank you for letting us know of your concern, and for your patience while we explore this matter. We have assigned your query to a designated official who will contact you within the next business day.
Kind regards

Firstly, The agent I reported my push to pay ***** case on the day it happened opened my bank and saw the transaction and yet escalated the incorrect amount and incorrect date to Nedbank.
Secondly, the complaints manager who seems to be the only person who wants to help me with this case contacted me to update me about this issue letting me know because the incorrect amount and incorrect date was escalated to the Nedbank, that meant no money could be salvaged. However due to this not being my fault but your agents fault I would be refunded on “good will”.
Thirdly, today I was awaiting feedback instead I received an email from *****, the very team that did the wrong escalation, the very team that sent me back and forth to customer services when I needed help with my case yes that team! They responded in telling me that my case is a civil case and they could not recover funds! How were they going to recover funds if the stuff is ***********.
I will not let this go!
Anyone who thinks they are safe in banking with you they need to rethink that. After this whole thing I am closing my account with immediate effect!
