Bad bussines

Capitec bank is the worst bank I have come across in my life

My girlfriend's money got ****** out of her account and left her with R70 in her account

As we were at the branch the said that that type of information that was shared could only have come from head office which they leaked very very personal information in resulting in the ****** funds

Now capitec said the chances of them repaying the funds is not likely for sum reason

So she must just take the hit on the chin and walk away with the blow

But here is my thing we as bank customers pay bank fees every month year in and year out for them to keep all of their customers money safe but they dont want to be accountable for their utterly weak security services

When this happend to me 2 years ago i banked with fnb it took them 3 days to refund my money 3days they took full responcibility and i still stay with them till this day for they deliver on their promises

The lady that help us at the branch gave a very good service and help us till the best of her what she could do i will give her service a 5 star it is just sad that the bank she works for cant commit to their customers

I would never recommend this bank to anyone and it is sad because i dont want to shame anyone but what must a reasonable person do in a case like this

It is just really sad they cant stand up for their clients and re assure their clients that every thing will be fine

And still after everything they charge you for a new card and banking costs

Capitec you must step up your game
