ATM deposit dispute
Evening
On the 3rd September 2024, I was at Port Elizabeth ( Ziyabuya, KwaDwesi) Capitec branch. I did a deposit of R2900 on the ATM, whilst was busy before I could even press confirm the ATM went offline, couldn’t get my cash back. A case was opened, at the branch they said the turn around time it’s 24 hours.. since yesterday at 12:25 when the case was created, I have not yet received my money nor communication from Capitec. I have to wait this long for my money yet the problem was with them. . So frustrated as I need to access those funds ASAP, very disappointed.

05 Sept 2024, 14:05I just received an email, that the investigation is taking long, how so? My son’s school fees was due on the 3rd September, same day CAPITEC ATM went offline whilst I was busy with money deposit. I am being penalised at my son’s school due to late payment, and the penalty fee will be paid by me, not Capitec. Escalate this case I need my money ASAP. I have to write and call Capitec countless times as if I owe the bank or something. I want my money as of today damn.
