Appalling Customer Service

I went on Capitec wanting to open an account with them. The service I got there was appalling to say the least. The first one I went and was told what I need to bring, when I told them I don't receive letters from the post. I was told to get an affidavit to prove my address. I then decided to call only to be told a different story, that I need to get a Declaration form to be filled. I went to Capitec AGAIN to ask for that form on the 23rd March and Tshepo Phara just gave me that form without explaining to me that they only need a signature and that I'm not suppose to fill it. It was filled I went back for the 24th , only to be told it was filled wrong cause of different address reflection on water & lights bill.

By this time I was livid. I asked for the supervisor Shaloem Zimba (ABM). Who was useless and kept on apologising for the incompetence and their staff not in unison. She then asked Thokozane Mhlongo who's the Manager to speak to me. She then told me they can either transport to the bank that closes later and I won't have to stand in line. Useless offer cause I had my own car with me. She then called Puso Tloung in the other branch to assist me when I get there.

The logistics of it all with something that was going to save me lots of money and logistics. When I got there I was then told that the thirds party ID had glue and can't be used. Had I been told I would have brought passports to shorten my trips.

Wasn't that imbecile at the door in the first branch suppose to tell me that when he was checking everything instead of making driving around like a crazy person. Just to bring business to them. I don't want their stupid apology as it doesn't aid anything.

I know about FICA but informing clients or potential clients what's needed might save us this drag and wasting our money to want to open account with useless and imbecile of agents. More over with a bank that doesn't service their clients best.
