ADHOC PAYMENT DONE TO PERSONAL LOAN BUT INSTALMENT AND TERM REMAIN UNCHANGED

As always - when your questions on their client care emails become to difficult for them to answer or give proper feedback, they ignore you in the hopes that you will forget about it or just go away.

I have a Personal Loan with Capitec Bank. The initial term is for 45 months.

In short - I pay back R3509.13 every month. Early in November I got some money to put towards my loan. Before I made a payment I requested a call from a lady at Capitec in which she explained to me that when I make a payment I should select "Adhoc" when I do the payment as this would go towards my principle debt. I had around R57000 debt before making a payment which brought me just below R50000.

I waited for my next instalment to come off and saw that the instalment remained the same. I thought "okay, perhaps my term got less by two or three months" but that too remained the same.

I have asked the question,and received a response from Tariq and he said that I have a fixed term loan and therefore the term will remain the same.

So now I have a question.

If I have to give you back R10 over a period of 10 months and I give you back R2 after 4 months you still going to charge me exactly the same as if I still owe you the full R10?

How does it work ? Paying R7 210 towards my principle debt, bringing it down to R49 994 but I still have to repay the exact amount I paid on R57 204? This means that I would be paying more on my loan that I initially signed up for and thus being breach of contract from your side.

I need this to be cleared up.

I am a client of yours and have been for quite some time and believe that I deserve to be given an explanation which satisfies my thinking.
