A Flood Of Disastrous Experiences
<p>On the 15/07/2017 I checked my balance on my account a few times at the atm due to an expectancy of cash comin into my account. The same day I checked again the night and I was declined followed with a slip "Suspected *****" what a shockI got and I was now awefully unsettled as I am a single parent to two children. How was I to provide for them now? I re**** fully on the bank & I am with Capitec Bank a few years now after changing over from a different bank, putting my trust in them and believing that it will be cheaper and better. What a big fat lie! As every time I experience a bad situation with them, all you get is a meek apology and they exxpect you to be okay with it and go on with your life but your life is impacted so much and I am now in debt due to having to borrow money to put food on the table and for travelling and the bare necessities. Anyway on the 16/07/2017, I called into their call centre, explaining my situation, the agent then advises me that due to myself checking my balance too many times, they stopped my account...... What the???!! I would also have to go into the bank to sort it out... I then borrowed travelling money, to get to the nearest branch, this being on a Sunday, I then sat their for two hours only to be told that I would have to return the next day as their forensics department will only be open the Monday. Thats losing out on two days of work and two days of wages... The Monday I returned and another two hours later, I was told that only once money goes into my account, then I would have to go back again and from there on they will only sort it out... Seriously????!!!! I am now R1500 in debt as I have had to borrow money for day to day living and losing out on work from which I am now Unemployed due to all of this (having to stay out of work to sort out this mess). I am on the verge of involving the ombudsman as i am beyond destressed and upset. i do hope that Capitec will re-imburse me in some monetary way so that me as the customer can regain some sort of faith in them again! I hope my complaint receives some sort of attention and that i do not get contacted in a week from now as it usually gets done but by tomorrow at least! My contact no: ********** ; E-mail: **********

Dear Nondi
I do not see how you can say "as per our telephonic conversation this matter has been resolved" as firstly I did not converse with you telephonically, secondly this matter is far from resolved! I was advised by an agent within the bank and by a staff member of your complaints management team , the person whom I conversed with telephonically, that Capitec Bank will re-imburse me, and that I will receive some money back which to date has not happened at all. Why am being advised one thing but there is no action taking place to confirm the advice being given??? Why is this taking so long to resolve when the fault was not even mine?! I am really growing tired of this and seriously do not want to go as far as the Ombudsman and the Media but if I have to then I will. I hope someone contacts me quite soon and its not another two weeks before someone lets me know whats happening.
