14 days of cheque clearence while I am hungry today

This thing is really unfair I thougth capitec was the best but, am starting to doubt. First time I reported the poor service with the bad attitudes from the tellers. Now my employe deposited a cheque for me and they say it will take 14 days to be clear. How would survive two full weeks. No No No. I think I am lost. I made a wrong choice.
