Cape Town Digital is the worst ISP to date.

Probably hands down the worst ISP, yup even worse than Telkom. Sure you're able to get your service connected within 24 hours of signing up but that's pretty much the only speedy and efficient thing about them.

The rest of the time you're ignored and get no response to any of queries. If it's not poor latency as a result of congestion or lack of bandwidth capacity, your more often than not completely dead in the water without being able to get past your next hop. You notice this poor performance instantly while you're working from home so it's always professional when you're in a meeting and you get disconnected or you're in the middle of troubleshooting an issue or doing maintenance and your RDP session disconnects.

I understand that everything electronic isn't perfect and that from time to time things will break and that results in downtime but it's how you manage your customers expectations that makes the difference. A simple email or WhatsApp goes a long way.

It's really unfortunate that the building only allows the use of Cape Town Digital as an ISP. Even though they say you can use them as a last mile, they don't actually mean it. I requested this very thing so that i could use my preferred ISP and guess what? We've been living here for almost 2 years now and i still haven't received an answer to my request.
