False advertising, then lack of feedback/response
Cape Connect provides wifi internet at the building I live in for a fee. After 2 years of living in the building, I decided to try there services for the first time In December 2014. With minimal information available, I purchased a 10 Gb voucher, only one month later to be told my voucher has expired. After querying this, I was told that the voucher was only valid for 1 month, information that was not available to me at the time. I then complained to them, requesting that I either be re-imbursed for the data I didn't use, or be given the opportunity to use up my data (i.e. be extending the expiry date of my voucher), to which I received no response. I sent a detailed email explaining how I could have been misled by the lack of information on their site on purchasing the voucher, to which I received no response. Only to discover that they had made changes to their interface, giving more information on purchasing the voucher, without even acknowledging me at all. I would like a response from them to (a) acknowledge the lack of info available on purchasing the data in Dec 14
Our terms and conditions of trade have not changed in many years.
They are clearly stated and easily available. This can be verified by visiting the Internet Wayback machine. http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.cape-connect.com and comparing it to our current website.
It's unfortunate that you chose not to read these, and that you have conveniently forgotten the multiple responses you received from our Support team, which have been submitted to our governing bodies as part of our reporting process.
Instead of making false accusations and then compounding one false statement with another, learn from this. As a responsible adult using the internet, read the terms and conditions before you purchase.
