Unhelpful Petrol Attendants and Non Responsive Management

This is my email to Rashaad - the manager at Caltex on the 9th Dec and 13th Dec followed by countless unaswered calls to his office.

Hi Rashaad,
As per my telcom to you this afternoon.

I was at your service station on Wednesday morning to pump my tyres. On my arrival, i parked my car close to the 2 petrol attendants who were by the pump and requested assistance from them to fill my tyres. They refused to assist me, and the other one said i should do it myself. i ask for the mans name and he refused to give me his name, I quote "why do you want to know my name" then i requested to see the supervisor or manager and he walked away.

I was with my younger brother in the care, he came out and tried to fill the tyres but we did not know how. the gentleman by the name of Abel saw us struggling and he came as offered to assist. I have to comment his services, very polite and went an extra mile to even clean my windscreen.

I asked Abel who is the guy who refuse to assist me, as he was not present when i arrived he asked the other man who was with the one who walked away and the guy told us that it was Clifford.

My disappointment is that Clifford's companion also turned a blind eye and did not offer to assist us at all.

I am a loyal caltex customer as i always fill my car at your service station or the one by Hans Schoeman street as they are the closest to the routes i take to and from work.

i would like to bring this behaviour to your attention as it seems to undermine the importance of customers at your establishment.

Kindest regards,

9:02 AM (6 hours ago)

to rabie
Dear Rashaad,
I stopped by your service station this morning to fill up. To my dismay, I discovered that your petrol attendants are running a syndicate of dooping customers, maybe myself. The individual who refused to provide me with service last week, so called "Clifford" happened to be there. This time he had a name tag of "Abel" the angel in disguise who attended to me when "Clifford" left me dry and high to pump my tyres.

It really does not take a rocket scientist to realise what they did. The minute I asked for the managers name and inquired if he/she is available and said I will call the head office, this Abel/Clifford ran away and out of the blue, Abel came as a good samaritan to the rescue.

The reason why I know that they may be fooling customers or myself is that, this morning I was helped by Mike and I pointed at the gentleman who walked away from me the first time asking for his name. Mike told me that his name is Abel, indeed it was Abel (Clifford) because this time he had the name tag "ABEL".

Whatever is happening there needs close monitoring as customer as king is being taken for granted.

I look forward to your response.

Regards,
