Unacceptable Behaviour by Petrol Attendant at Caltex Brits

On the 6th of March 2025 at around 05:30, I stopped to fill fuel at Caltex Filling Station located at 17 Hendrick Verwoerd Avenue, Brits. While one of the petrol attendants was filling my car, I quickly went to use the restroom.

To my shock, a petrol attendant named Thapelo Sekati followed me into the ladies’ toilet. I had just finished using the toilet and was still fixing myself when he entered. I immediately left the toilet, feeling extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. When I confronted him about entering the ladies' toilet while I was inside, he casually responded that the men's toilet was smelly and he was pressed. He then arrogantly said I could report him to the manager, and that he didn’t care.

I reported the matter to the manager on duty, who assured me it would be dealt with. However, since the incident, Thapelo has been giving me attitude and making threatening remarks whenever I visit the station.

This experience has left me feeling unsafe and disrespected. It's deeply concerning that staff members behave in this way, especially in a place where customers expect to feel secure. I urge Caltex management to take this matter seriously and ensure that appropriate action is taken to prevent such incidents in the future.
