Sh****ing Customer Service
My anger at this situation is not so much aboot what happened to my mother late Thursday night last week, but rather the way in which Cristelle Keyser has chosen to deal with the situation. The facts are: Caltex Gold Club Terrace mistakingly put petrol into her diesel tank. She has ABSOLUTELY no way of knowing that this happened at the time that it happened. The moment she noticed her car smoking and issues with the engine, she stopped driving and discovered Caltex's error. A reasonable person understands that mistakes happen, HOWEVER instead of apologising for error and dealing with the matter amicably - Caltex Golf Club Terrace take the high road and immediately blame the customer for this error as according to them my mother should stepped out of her vehicle and checked that the correct fuel was put in her. They refer to a disclaimer they have posted on their wall... I would like to know EXACTLY where the sign is that tells customers to get out their cars to check their petrol attendants are doing their job? They blame a rightfully upset customer for this mistake and then had gaul to wish her luck in a condescending manner! Seriously what kind of customer service is this?
