Rotten service

Hellopeter I had a terrible experience with Caltex Greentrees Service station in Sunnyside Pretoria. On the 12th of December 2019 I filled my car with petrol at this useless service station and little did I know that the storage tanks had taken in water from the rains the previous night. I drove to work, 1,5 kms from the station. The car started jerking,lost power and died. I pushed the car into the parking lot and went into the office. I tried starting the car after I knocked off, bu it wouldn't start. I then decided to tow the car home, called my mechanic to have a look. He confirmed that the tank was filled with water. I immediately contacted the petrol station around 21H00 the same night and they acknowledged the problem. My mechanic drained the water and I had to buy service kit and submitted the claim to Caltex Greentrees in Sunnyside. The supervisor on call that day told me the manager was on holiday and he would come back to me once he is back in the office. I went back to them in January 2020 and was told they are not going to reimburse me because they have a station mechanic that attends to vehicle challenges due to shop faults. That was news to me as I was not told of this arrangement. I took this up with my Clientele Lawyers who told me I do not have a recourse for my claim. I am very disappointed that Caltex South Africa has been dragged on the ground like that and have taken a decision never to use the brand again. I hope people never use that service station until we have management that will take responsibility. I will unjust if their insurance claim was approved and they failed to reimburse me.
