****** of R100.00 diesel

To whom it may concern.

This morning at 11h37 I went to the caltex filling station at wonder park mall to refil my car with R100.00 worth of diesel. My car fuel indicator light was never on, showing signs that my car was low on fuel,no light came on even at the time I arrived. I personally NEVER travel with very low fuel in my car which I have owned for the past 12 years and had just recently had it fully serviced, hence I came to have my car filled to have an easy journey ahead.

I parked and allowed the car to be filled. I left the petrol attended by the name of Tumelo Mashidiso with my car keys to refil my tank with R100.00 worth of diesel as I went inside to Fresh Shop to withdraw cash money of R500.00 so I could give him the R100.00 diesel payment and the rest was to be used for my personal use on the day.

As I was done with the cash withdrawal at the ATM machine(ABSA) in the Fresh Shop,I walked out towards Tumelo Mashidiso and handed him the R100.00 cash and gave me the key. I started the car and drove, not even a second away from the petrol, diesel tank, I immediately noted that my car gage did not move at all from the time I asked for it to be filled.

I called Tumelo and asked to see his supervisor and a gentle man by the name of Vincent Nkuna came to hear my complaint and I showed him that the gage had not moved at all. Vincent advised me to carry on with my mission for the day and the gage might come back up again. VIincent advised, should the gage not move ,I should come back to the filling station to have it discussed, which I had done.

Hardly in the middle of town the fuel light came on and I was in a panic," remeber, I had refilled it with R100.00 and I was not even halfway in Pretoria CBD" indicating Low Fuel.I immediately called Vincent on the landline ***) and again he advised that I shouldn't worry I won't get stuck,I'll make it over back to him, which I did thankfully.

When I got back to the filling station I asked the security gentleman, (William Maisela) to call Vincent for me and he approached. I once again showed him and explained where the gage would have sat at R100.00 filled.

He asked that I join his Manager Thabiso Ndwambi who went through the CCV footage in the office with me indicating that the petrol attended and the receipt prove that my tank was filled. I disputed this with him stating that my car indicated a completely different statement to theirs.

Thabiso assumed that there might have been a problem with my gage and I perfusely disagreed with him, as I have several times stated that I have had my car recently fully serviced.

To prove Thabiso wrong, I asked him to refill my tank with an additional R100.00 and see when the gage would lie. Vincent accompanied me,he refilled my tank with R100.00 and the gage went up immediately to where I had indicated that it would be.

I am so deeply disturbed and hurt by the incident that happened this morning that not even the Manager had the willingness to listen to my complaint and assist where possible, yet he was so true to his statement and not willing to budge which indicated a lack of professionalism on his part and mostly on the company as a whole. He was very unprofessional, that whilst I was explaining my issue he was rudely interpreting me while I was still explaining myself to him and I firmly said, I am not here to fight but to solve this problem cause I might have been the only one to have come across such an issue with them but will certainly not be the last one to bring this to Managements attention hence we need to resolve this amicably. I have a very strong feeling that this has happened before and nobody had the time or guts to bring it forth.

His approach was truly appalling and dissatisfactory. The way he was so defensive it felt as though this was not the first time that this had happened and he knew exactly how to answer me.

This matter is of most serious and I am expecting to to receive a reply on a way forward regarding this. Thabiso Ndwambi advised that I should get a response immediately from sending this complaint today. I again asked him to right me all the details which I should direct my complaint too and he nonchalant said I must just go on the website and find the details there.

I seriously believe there was an injustice done on me,either the tank itself is faulty or theft was done somehow by the petrol attended and the Manager.

I expect my complaint to be taken very seriously cause image if this happens on a daily basis, how much money are customers been rooted of and how much money the company is loosing without any accountability.

I am also expecting to receive feedback today as advised by your manager Thabiso.

A very disappointed customer who is now reluctant to use this petrol station ever again. Please find attached receipts of R200.00 spend instead of just R100.00.
