Refusal to take back their own gas bottles

This is not the first time a manager at this station has been less than helpful. I purchased a gas bottle from them a couple of weeks ago and since the gas shortage they refuse to take the cylinder back and can't supply me with gas either. I understand that they are having supply issues, but other service stations have confirmed they cannot refuse to take it back. What's the deal guys?
