No supervision, demanding owner.

<p>Filled up my vehicle, presented card for payment. Payment failed due to error with card machine. Requested attendant to please get another card machine. Attendant then stared at machine, as if a deep stare would cure the machine of its ills. Attendant disappeared inside with nary a word. And I waited. Upon his reurn some minutes later I asked to speak to the manager. Not on duty. The owner then? No, not here. And while he's telling me this, he's picking his nose. Maybe the answer would be found nasally; perhaps it was next to some fingerprints? Supervisor then appeared. He attempted card purchase again. No luck. I was then asked to go inside. At this point I'm getting tetchy as this is now some 15mins later. Attempted to pay via credit card using terminal inside. Nope, still comms failure. Ask why no manager is present, or why owner is not available. Apparently I was speaking French. Asked for banking details so that I could do a bank transfer. Was told that I had to pay now. Again, asked for manager; again the blank response. Grabbed piece of paper, wrote down name and number and suggested someone phone me so that I can pay. And left.</p> <p> </p> <p><br />15 mins later received a call from owner. On his farm in Mooi River, but demanded his money. Not very interested in the lack of supervision or lack of options to pay, and threatened to lay a case of theft. Tried to explain to him that I'm happy to pay via EFT. Got told that "I want my money! Or I'll lay a charge of theft." He eventually put phone down on me. I phoned back, and suggested that he doesn't do that. He launched into another diatribe, by which time his wife got irritated with him and took the phone from him. She then offered a solution, and sent me the banking details. I paid via EFt about 2 hrs later.</p> <p> </p> <p><br />What a shambles. And what a nasty man. Disinteresed in bad service, but demanding "his money".</p>
