contaminated fuel

On the evening of 29 January 2016 I filled my car with diesel at a Caltex garage called Turbo Motors in Langenhoven street in Vanderbijlpark. A few meters after leaving the garage the engine light began to flash \check engine\", the car started to jerk, the engine became noisy and the car lost power. I took the car to the place where I bought it which is Vaal Toyota in Vereeniging. The vehicle was tested and the damage was commensurate with fuel contamination. I went to the garage where I bought the contaminated fuel and reported the matter. The garage was not interested, they did not even have the common decency to offer me a chair. I then escalated the matter to Chevron Head Office in Cape Town. A few days later Chevron Head Office de-escalated the matter back to the garage owner, basically washing their hands off the matter. I then escalated the matter to Chevron's Johannesburg office in Rosebank. A few days later they also informed me that they have de-escalated the matter to the garage owner, that I must sort it out with the garage owner. I told them that the garage owner had already mentioned that he was not interested and I asked them what was the purpose of going back?"
