Caltex Theunissen, Free State

About 7 or so years ago I was driving past Theunissen, Free State on my way to Bloemfontein and happened to make a quick stop at the then fairly new Caltex garage. I had with me a sealed but very warm can of coke which I asked a very nice Afrikaner gentleman to exchange for a cooler one for me. A request which he never thought twice to grant.

The reason why I feel the need to bring that little story up is the fact that even till this day, for some reason, even though I probably will not remember the face of that Afrikaner gentleman if I see him, the Caltex Theunissen garage staff still maintains the sweet warm service I received back then. On Friday the 6th of December 2019, four people who serviced me and my family were very warm and patient with us. Suzan is one of the ladies and she was with another lady who was just wearing a "trainee" tag. I remember this because they were all smiles when me and my brother kept on teasing her by calling her "sister trainee".

The two cashiers (sorry cannot remember their names) at the exit point also did not disappoint as they carried the very same patient attitude, which can be quite difficult if one has to serve a group of five people at once whom sometimes are not really sure what is that they want to buy.

I truly would like to give this store my thumbs up, and I hope they keep up the good spirit of honest and best customer service to everyone they serve, irrespective of colour or social status!!!
