Caltex Ruimsig Damage to Car Engine

I went to fill up on Sunday, 29.01.2023 at around 8.19 am at Caltex Ruimsig /Roodeeport - I drive a diesel car just to clarify that point. The petrol attendant filled up my car (it was still half full at the time), when he was finished he started behaving in a weird way, talking to another attendant for quite some time, leaving my petrol tank open. We then asked him to close it. Suddenly a pedestrian was busy with another petrol attendant at that same pump, filling a canister with fuel. My original petrol attendant then told me he had to get the slip for my purchase inside the shop as someone else had now used the pump afterwards. He came back with a slip and I paid and drove of to hartbee****rt dam. There, after having stopped my car, I could not get it to start again and had to get a tow truck to get my car back to Roodepoort. Today my car is in for repairs (several thousand rand later) at my dealership as they found out that petrol was put into my diesel car!!!! This case will obviously be taken further as the till slip must have been fiddled with on top of everything else, trying to disguise the fact a mistake had been made as it indicated that the purchase was for diesel when it was clearly not. I am beyond angry that the carelessness of their staff has now damaged my car. I am lucky that my tank still had diesel in (half tank) it otherwise the engine of my car would have completely seized! However, as per the current feed-back from the Dealership it's too early to tell if (besides the fuel filters being drained and replaced) if there is not further damage to the injectors and possibly engine!! My car cost over **** btw - I am looking forward to getting feed-back from that petrol station's owners. I have already lodged an official complaint with Head Office.
