CALTEX GARAGE, RANDBURG- MISTREATMENT OF EMPLOYEES

Caltex garage, JHB Randburg Surrey street. I had the worst experience in this petrol station. I was trained there to became a cashier : firstly for training we were only paid R100 a day while we were working for 11-12 hours, fine they said they were taking me as the cashier full time but when they had to pay they did not pay me full amount they said I had shortages but in the payslip it was written, I had R900 worth of shortages so I was entitled to receive R3k even that amount it wasn’t paid to me when I complained they now changed that I had shortages of R4k meaning in that 4th night I was working for free. Firstly I was not the only one responsible for cash in that weekend of which they say I had a shortage of R1.9 and they never said anything about that huge amount shortage the following day but they only mentioned it when I had to be paid. On top of that when I asked for the receipt of that shift they were Nowhere to be found.

This petrol station has a history of mistreating employees and I did experience that myself. They wasted my time and didn’t even allow me to do something which was very important during my lunch time but they failed to pay me.
