Title: Lunch Bar Max Had Unusual Smell, Taste and Was Followed by Digestive Discomfort
I purchased a Lunch Bar Max from a convenience store in West End, Port Elizabeth.
When I opened the product, I noticed that the chocolate looked unusual in appearance and texture. It also had an unpleasant smell that I found concerning.
After tasting a portion of the chocolate, I noticed an unusual and unpleasant flavour. I stopped eating it shortly thereafter.
Following consumption, I lost my appetite for the rest of the day and experienced digestive discomfort, bloating and excessive gas the following day. These symptoms occurred shortly after consuming the product and prompted me to report the matter.
I retained the wrapper and remaining product, photographed the product condition, barcode and packaging code, and subsequently returned the wrapper and chocolate for a full refund.

I have contacted the manufacturer directly and requested a quality investigation. I would appreciate a response regarding the findings and whether any similar reports have been received.
