Cheating the Consumers
Do we as consumers realise that we are being cheated by big companies like Cadbury's. Last week I bought some slabs of the large Chocolates. A variety of makes ie Whole Nut, fruit and Nut, Plain etc. As I tend to use them for my baking. I got home opened the Fruit and Nut pack and could not understand why the slab seems thinner. I had to really look for the weight and to my horror saw that from a 200g we are now sold a 150g slab. Some of my recipes asks for 200g melted chocolate. This was ideal. Then we went to 180g and I could survive that but now its 150g. Do I have to buy two slabs...this is called cheating and *****ing from the consumers. Why is the Consumer Council not doing anything about this. This is not just the chocolate slabs. It is with other products as well like cereals, soaps toothpaste etc. Are we so gullible and afraid that we just accept what is sold to us. Who is going to fight the case of the Consumer!
