3 months and still waiting for repair to iPhone 5

Took in iPhone 5 which I originally purchased from them cash. It had a fault on the button and screen, I was told by Apple that this phone should have been recalled, as it was a manufacturing fault, but had to take it back to the supplier now. The recall never happened and consequently it's now out of warranty. Anyhow I took it in for repair to the Sandton branch of CaCell - aka Altech Cellular, on the 20th February 2015. And I am still waiting, also I got informed by Cell C that it is now with them? Really don't know why as all our contracts are with MTN and this phone was bought cash???!! Really need an answer to what is going on? I have purchased a new phone in the meantime as this is a really long time to wait.
